The 2023 Chowderfest Vendor Village run by the Southern Ocean Chamber Association is a juried Bayfront Festival that includes:
– Vendor Village – Elevated shopping experience from previous years
– Food & Baked Goods
– Beer, Wine, Seltzers
– Live Music Entertainment
– Bywatyr Seating Lounge & More!
Chowderfest Vendor Village will be a gated event but will offer free admission to consumers, this is a family & pet-friendly event.
VENDOR TYPES – What we are looking for
FOOD
Handheld items/finger foods always do well so people can walk and eat.
No food trucks. 12×12 area electricity and handwashing/sanitation station provided.
SERVICES
Face painting
Balloon animals
Phone charging station
Interactive Games
PRODUCTS
Sell merchandise such as clothing, accessories, individually wrapped goods, plants, souvenirs, handicrafts, art, etc.
NON-PROFITS
NOTE: SOCA is a non-profit organization and Chowderfest is their fundraiser. Approved non-profit organizations would need to be selling items where proceeds go to the mission, or have an interactive element/game. No 50/50 raffle sales are allowed to be sold prior to Chowderfest and then pulled at the event or during the event.

What are the next steps? Once selected you will be notified via email. (the email used in interest form below) In the email will be the 2023 Application and Contract with a payable link.
If I am selected as a vendor, do I HAVE to accept the invitation to participate? No. If you are selected to participate as a vendor, you will have the opportunity to either accept or decline the invitation. If you accept, you will have 30 days to submit your full payment and proof of insurance.
What forms do I have to provide if selected as a vendor? All vendors must present a copy of a certificate of insurance for a $1 million general liability policy, a signed vendor agreement (provided by Chowderfest), and the applicable vendor fee. Fees are listed below. Sample
How many guests are expected to attend this year’s Chowderfest?
We are anticipating more than 8,000 guests to attend.
Vendors MUST SUPPLY the following:
Vendor – 10×10 covered space
Food Vendor – 12×12 covered space
Certificate of Insurance Sample
Tables & Chairs
Fire extinguisher (Fire Marshall will be on-site checking.)
Accepted Tendor
ATMs will be at the event, however, vendors who offer cashless options do far better than vendors who only accept cash.
Refunds
No refunds for no-shows, cancelations, or scheduling conflicts. Spots are first come first serve. There is a non-refundable $50 registration fee in any instance.
If the event is canceled or postponed due to a State of Emergency, acts of terrorism, or any other event/issue beyond the Southern Ocean Chamber Association’s control, a refund will be issued for your space. However, the $50 fee will be retained. SOCA will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred by the vendor.

What we are NOT looking for
NO ALCOHOL VENDORS
Chowderfest already has an exclusive with a distributor on all acholic beverages (beer/wine/seltzers). No secondary vendors are permitted to sell alcohol. Nor will we accept vendors selling alcohol or items with alcohol in them.
NO INFORMATION ONLY VENDORS
– Non-profit organizations offering literature, or other information free of charge are not allowed.
– Government entities giving information about free government services
– Political campaigning
– Soliciting signatures on petitions
– Promoting a commercial brand/company/service

In its sole discretion, the Southern Ocean Chamber Association has the right to reject any merchants and food vendors from the Chowderfest Vendor Village.
