In step with heightened security measures across the country, we ask everyone to participate in making Chowderfest safe and enjoyable by being aware of their surroundings and reporting any unusual or suspicious activities to a patrol officer on duty at the event.
Please refrain from bringing backpacks or bags into the Chowderfest field, if it is unavoidable please be aware that they will be subject to screening and any bag left unattended will be reported to authorities.
The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, the Chowderfest Committee and our volunteers thank you for your cooperation. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the 31st Annual Chowderfest Weekend.
For everyone’s comfort and safety:
- Blankets on the field are not permitted
- Lawn chairs in paved areas only.
- SUNDAY: Single/Umbrella strollers will be allowed into the festival but must stay on PAVED AREA. Wagons and Double Strollers must be parked at our secured gate area. Patrons will receive a ticket for retrieval. All strollers are subject to security check.
- Smoke free event
- No pets allowed by order of the Board of Health
32nd Annual Chowder Cook-Off Classic
Chowderfest Weekend has become a tradition for family and friends to gather together to say goodbye to summer and welcome the fall. Always the weekend before Columbus Day Weekend, this year join us on October 3, 2020, for the fabulous Merchant Mart (free admission) where local vendors offer the best deals of the season, and Sunday, October 4, 2020, for the Chowder Cook-Off Classic (a ticketed event).
Chowderfest Weekend goes on rain or shines at the Taylor Avenue ball field, Ninth Street and Taylor Avenue in Beach Haven (across from Schooner’s Wharf and Bay Village)
